The cabinetry was structurally retained, but the existing pink finish no longer suited the desired appearance. The project focused on changing the visible finish rather than removing the units or changing the kitchen layout.

Architectural wrapping can change the visual finish of suitable existing doors and surfaces without the disruption of removing and replacing the entire kitchen. Suitability still depends on the condition, shape and finish of the surfaces involved.

Preparation and surface condition

Before wrapping, the existing surfaces were prepared so the architectural film could be applied cleanly and accurately. Surface condition, edges, profiles and existing finishes are assessed before any kitchen is confirmed as suitable for wrapping.

Why a white wood-grain finish?

The white wood-grain architectural wrap changed the kitchen from a strong pink colour to a lighter, more neutral appearance while retaining a subtle visible texture. The finish created a different look without changing the existing cabinetry or layout.

The result

The completed kitchen retained the existing units and layout while changing the visible pink surfaces to a much lighter white wood-grain finish. Wrapping the drawers, plinths and visible trims alongside the cupboard fronts helped create a consistent finished appearance.
